A WORD FROM JASON REDMAN

It has been an exciting month with new cranes going up on projects throughout Sydney. We now have both new 430 luffing cranes up from Terex, one at Opal and one at Lindfield. These are both Icon jobs and the feedback received from the client has been very positive.

I would like to reiterate the importance of consistent focus on general safety. It is vital that we focus on getting the basics right. Details including maintenance checks, hoisting ropes, getting four points of contact on the bins, checking lifting equipment and ensuring that bolts are tightened are of vital importance. Don't ever take safety for granted. It is your responsibility.

Following news of the recent fatality in Canberra from roll over of a mobile crane, we need to double our efforts in regards to pre cast panelling and dual lifting. Make sure that there is a key individual running it so that the Franna cannot be overlifted. It is of vital importance that we consistently undertake risk assessments and toolbox talks to discuss safety challenges on site. Daily routine checks on the cranes are there to make sure that the crane is in good working order and these should be completed with attention to detail. Our company ethos is "ACT" = Attitude, Commitment and Teamwork. This means having the right positive attitude towards our clients, safety and our team. Commitment is to yourself, your team and your family to be on time, to choose the right attitude and to choose the safe option for your team. Above all else it is mutual respect for your team.

We would urge you all to attend meetings in future as they discuss items of importance and changes to our industry. It is important to have a say in our future and in your future. Should you have any queries or wish to discuss this in further detail please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

MESSAGES

A WORD FROM DAVE BROWN

Welcome to our latest newsletter

We trust you are all enjoying the cold mornings and keeping well.

Over the past few weeks we have made many changes at Reds Global with new employees.

You will see in this months newsletter that we have started a new Safety Coordinator and Allocations Facilitator.

Mark O’Brien has started with us as our Safety Coordinator

Stephen Leys has started with us as our Allocations Facilitator

and Rachel Laidlaw has started with us as our Temporary Office Manager.

We ask that you make these guys feel welcome and we wish them all the very best with their positions and the challenges that these roles offer.

We discussed briefly in our last newsletter what we were looking for in our employees and these positions where filled by personnel who are competent and charismatic, as such, they stood out from the other applicants that were interviewed.

In the coming weeks you will all have the opportunity to meet our new personnel and you will see why we employed them, as they will bring about a confident change.

Reds Global have made a definitive commitment to our employees and clients with new equipment purchases, new employees taking on new roles within the company and with this we would like to ensure our company culture is also in keeping with where Reds Global are heading in the future.

As we move towards 2017, we will see change. We must work proficiently with our clients and employees to meet new challenges, as we do not want to be left behind.

Each of you can offer our clients exceptional service and please consider that good service will be remembered long after the project has finished.

Great service goes a long way ensuring Reds Global  are awarded future projects, if we are not offering our clients exceptional service another company will.

Over the past few months, I have spoken about giving an additional 10% and as we move closer to 2017, we really need to step up our service.

Please remember that Reds Global as a provider of Tower cranes and crews are a service based company, so please work safe, work smart and work with pride, as you are part of our great team. You are part of Reds Global.

Thank you

Dave Brown

TEAM OF THE MONTH

NEWCASTLE BLOC

Dave Goulding
Blake Hunt
Stephen Graham

This month we would like to recognise the fantastic work done by the crane crew at the Bloc project in Newcastle. This project has been a challenging, due to site constraints and high wind conditions on a regular basis. The crane crew rose to the challenge and contributed to a positive outcome, with the project being delivered on time.  These guys have upheld the Reds Global values exceptionally well and showed a consistent dedication to safety throughout the project in its entirety. This is displayed through the feedback from the client which has been encouraging. Dave, Blake and Stephen have put in the extra 10% and achieved an excellent result, and for this we would like to award them Crew of the Month. We are proud to have this team representing our company on site.

Enjoy your Gold Class movie vouchers guys, and thank you again for your dedication to our team!

SAFETY MESSAGE

Hi Team,

I have joined the Reds team because the first thing I noticed about this organisation was the strong safety culture that is being promoted and I am in full support of what we are trying to achieve as a team.

I intend to review the existing systems and processes and endeavour to improve upon them and streamline where possible.

Over the coming weeks I will be visiting all of the Reds Global sites to meet personnel and provide assistance as required.  I can be contacted via the existing mobile telephone number and email address of the Safety Coordinator.
