Philippines: 40kg of plastic found in dead whale's stomach

A dead whale found in the Philippines earlier this month had 40kg of rice sacks and plastic bags in its stomach. Researchers at D'Bone Collector Museum in Davao City said it was the most plastic they had ever seen inside a whale.

South Korea: Calls for investigation into K-Pop sex scandal

South Korea's billion-dollar K-Pop industry is being rocked by a widening sex and corruption scandal which has seen the resignation of several stars. President Moon Jae-in has called for an investigation into the allegations.

Pakistan: Airspace still closed following India airstrikes

International flights are being forced to detour as Pakistan continues to restrict its airspace over fears India will launch another attack. A senior goverment official told the Financial Times: "Pakistan's security must come first."
