SAFETY WORKS NEAR COMPLETION

Road works at the intersection of Kilmore East and O’Gradys roads is nearly complete with works on a new turning lane, lighting and speed limit changes to finish in the New Year.

The important upgrade includes two new streetlights and a new T-intersection which will improve safety for driving entering and exiting on to O’Gradys Road. Kilmore East Road was also lowered at the railway bridge.

The State Government’s Fixing Country Roads program funded $975,000 of the intersection and lighting project. Council contributed $268,000 to these upgrades as well as $180,000 to lower the road.

GETTING TOGETHER Tips for having visitors

  • Don’t visit others or have visitors when you feel unwell
  • Encourage hand hygiene when visitors enter the home
  • Maintain 1.5 metres distance if possible
  • Don’t share cups or utensils
  • Open windows to provide natural ventilation
  • Don’t serve finger foods

Coronavirus (COVID-19) may spread when people are crowded in an indoor space – even from people who have no symptoms.
