Set to brighten the streets of London this January, more than 40 UK and international artists will transform our city into a nocturnal art exhibition, as Lumiere London returns from Thursday, 18 January to Sunday, 21 January. There will be stunning illuminations on display throughout Mayfair, including The Mount Street Deli’s neons, on show from Tuesday, 16 January. After enjoying the various light shows in Mayfair, why not take a short walk to 34 Mayfair for steak and red wine, or Sexy Fish for seafood and cocktails.

This January, The Mount Street Deli has partnered with Louise Parker, creator of the Louise Parker Method, to help get your year off to a healthy start. Our head chef has worked closely with Louise to add a Louise Parker Method approved lunchtime salad to the deli’s weekly menu. Each dish is carefully balanced and high in protein to keep you feeling full through to dinner. Dishes include grilled Thai style beef and Asian greens, and poppy seeded salmon with cucumber noodles. The salads are available weekday lunchtimes, from Wednesday, 3 January.

Sexy Fish Chef Director, Bjoern Weissgerber, has been busy working on a new lunch menu for those looking for a delicious excuse to abscond from the back to work routine. The “Kuikku” menu (Japanese for quick), costs £36 per person and includes a choice of 4 dishes, such as salmon teriyaki and yuzu hollandaise, beef tataki with watercress and lemongrass or parsnips and shishito tempura. In collaboration with Beefeater London Dry Gin, the Rivington Gin Garden will be covered with a beautiful fruit tree canopy, filled with hanging vines, warm lighting and blankets – a perfect way to ward off those January blues. J Sheekey will host a series of exclusive and informal ‘in conversation’ evenings, with a prestigious line-up of theatre luminaries, including Hollywood legend Leslie Caron (Monday, 29 January), The Phantom of The Opera star Ben Forster (Monday, 19 February) and third-generation English actress Jemma Redgrave (Monday, 12 March). Each event will kick off at 7.30pm with a little mingling, before sitting down for dinner at 8pm.
