Reds Global News Letter First Quarter 2020 Loftus Lane - Spectacular view - Thank you Max Kentwell for sharing your beautiful photo. MESSAGESA message from Damien Laforest It is tough trading conditions out there but not everything is doom and gloom. We have had multiple projects cancel, some delayed and others altered. Not many projects are being awarded right now but we continue to fight and we are getting a few wins along the way. Personally, I am thankful that we operate in an industry that is still going, because many Australians are struggling. It is tax time.....yay for some. My generation know them as group certificates, others payment summaries, but now "income statements". They no longer get emailed or posted, instead the ATO upload them into your MyGov account. The ATO have everything they need to upload now. We have recently employed an experienced IT Project Manager to undertake a 6 month project on our systems. Craig (as you will be introduced below) has opened our eyes to what is possible and has commenced implementing new software that will change a lot of what we do, resulting in efficiencies across the business. I am excited to finally bring some modern approaches to Reds Global. Rigging works recently include:
I have been fortunate to get around some sites lately and the feedback from our clients is outstanding. Reds Global has a fantastic reputation and that is a direct result of "you". Keep up the great work and I look forward to catching up with you all on future site visits. Take care, Damien. HEALTH AND SAFETY Good afternoon all, We are now half way through the year and would like to thank you all for your continued commitment to safety. With recent events in the last few months surrounding COVID19 to get up and continue to work and carry out the high standards that we deliver is a credit to you all. We will be changing slightly as a company in the coming months and seeing the introduction of paperless / digital software to help streamline our business. This will involve safety paperwork so in the coming weeks I will be attending all sites to gather feedback from you all in relation to how you the workers think it should be presented. Be ever vigilant in regards to your work areas, the winter months means that there is potential for poor lighting and the colder conditions makes surfaces more slippery. I want you all to feel confident and comfortable in raising these safety issues to site management for rectification. If not comfortable, Reds management will happily voice your opinons on your behalf. Please report any and all incidents to Reds management as and when they occur, my phone is always on and i'm happy to help in anyway I can. We have had a number of incidents recently in relation to crush injuries and lacerations. Things can go wrong very quickly in our industry so we all need to be on the ball when it comes to safety. Please look after yourselves and your team mates to ensure that our high safety standard is maintained and to reduce the risk of injury to all workers on the building site. We all have a duty of care not only to ourselves but everyone on the site. If something doesn't look right chances are it isn't right. If a load takes a little longer to be completed thats a better outcome than a dangerous load. Thank you James 73 Miller Street - Sunset - Thank you Jason Borg for sharing your beautiful photo with us. WORKING AT HEIGHTS COURSE We pride ourselves in health and safety, we regularly up-skill and carry out refresher courses to prepare our riggers for real life scenarios. Thank you to Bill Proctor from SAR for sharing his knowledge with us. WEEKLY PAPERWORK - Please ensure your daily paperwork is emailed first thing every morning to maintenance@redsglobal.com and your weekly paperwork is emailed first thing on a Monday morning to admin@redsglobal.com. We are also requesting your generator reports to be sent through every day. Send all files as a PDF. Tiny Scanner is a simple and free application on Apple and Android. It is a time consuming process to receive photos which slows down the payroll process. PPE ISSUE Due to the COVID19 we unfortunately had to cancel our Training Day for the first half of 2020. We take pride in supplying all our staff with their PPE gear as promised. Ben and Lisa worked as a team to get your clothes delivered to you and when arriving on site and seeing the Reds Global staff so well branded was very refreshing. You are all look great! A COMPLIMENT GOES A LONG WAY.. Thank you to all staff for all the hard work and effort you put in, during this job, past jobs and current jobs. Compliments like these go a long way and we really appreciate everyones contribution. WYONG HOSPITAL - NAME THAT CRANE Such a lovely way to bring a community together, I wanted to share some of the names that were suggested.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS While everyone needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle, construction workers are involved in dangerous and hazardous tasks, therefore being healthy and fit is even more important to them. A healthy lifestyle involves healthy eating, staying fit and getting enough rest and it’s important for a number of reasons. Perhaps most importantly is the fact that the healthier you are the less prone you will be to sicknesses and diseases. A healthy well balanced life will have a positive impact on your life expectancy. Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle because it helps to burn off excess calories, is good for strength and flexibility and it also releases feel good endorphins into the bloodstream. Staying fit is also an important part of construction work which is physically demanding and strenuous. Also exercising is also a good way of boosting the metabolism and promoting healthy weight loss.
