Over the past few months, we’ve been commissioned to design some interesting logos for a variety of companies, blogs and associations.

Below are a few case studies of interest.

CASE STUDY 1 | Kooringal Landholders Association

The committee members of the Kooringal Landholders Association, located on beautiful Moreton Island about an hour and a half ferry ride from Brisbane, approached us for an new identity. They were looking for a brand that reflected the local surrounds and beach/bay culture, as well as identifying their members and landholders. As a regular visitor to the island, and in particular the Kooringal township, inspiration was never going to be a problem. Representing the beach/bay culture, I’ve used a blue weathered circular border that reflects the layed-back island lifestyle. I decided to research the local wildlife inhabitants to represent the landholders and Kooringal community. One of the most abundant and recognisable birds on the island is the Pied Oystercatcher, mostly seen in pairs along the beach, and was the best choice. The committee presented the logo at the last AGM and was voted in unanimously. We’ve since created an eLetterhead, email signatures, EDM and banners.

CASE STUDY 2 | Duck Egg Blonde

The owner of Duck Egg Blond, an online creator of bespoke bracelets, necklaces and earrings, contacted us to update her current brand. Colour choice was never going to be in question here. We started with an egg shape and added a set of wings to give the brand life and vitality. Check out some of the beautiful jewellery on Facebook and Pinterest. The owner was overjoyed with the end design.

CASE STUDY 3 | Readford Group

Fiona Thompson, the owner of Brisbane-based writing and editing consultancy, Readford Group, approached us with a concise and very well written creative brief for a new brand for her company.
