Senior Correspondent Julian Kerr leads today's Defence Week with an update on modifications underway on HMAS Hobart to better accomodate the MH-60R helicopters. Commodore Steve Tiffen, CASG’s Director General Naval Construction Branch, told ADM the same modifications would be completed on HMAS Brisbane shortly and NUSHIP Sydney before delivery in 2020.

In other news, the Defence Trade Controls Act review releases its findings, industry is briefed on the integrated land targeting RFI, Jacky Westermann provides commentary on the Munich Security Conference 2019, SA partners with Region Bretagne on autonomous maritime vehicles, and Ultra wins a contract to provide ASW capabilities for Canada's future frigate.

And the house announcements: nominations for this year's Women in Defence Awards are now open; and the cut-off to receive a discount for clients due to renew their listing in the Directory of Defence Suppliers is tomorrow, February 22nd. If you would like to renew, or are not listed and would like to be, please contact Directory Coordinator Dave Torrance.
