Click here HR Round UpYour monthly HR newsletterFebruary 2020 University mental health dayOn Thursday, 5 March, the University is running a range of events for staff and students to highlight mental health. The events cover topics such as recognising signs of stress and what to do through to college wellbeing workshops. All sessions are drop-in so there is no need to book.
eRecruiter single sign-on updateFrom 16 March, you will be able to sign in to eRecruiter with your usual username and password. This feature should reduce issues with logging into the recruitment system. This will work for staff accounts but not non-personal or external email accounts.
National minimum wage increasesChanges to the national minimum wage will affect casual, apprenticeship and intern rates of pay from April.
University governance...In a NutshellIn a Nutshell aims to increase your understanding of key activities at the University inside an hour. The next topic will be on University governance and will be delivered by Adam Dawkins on 25 March, from 10am.
Digital payslips projectOnline payslips are to be available from March, with a view to withdrawing paper payslips by June. While the withdrawal of paper payslips is planned, it will be done in consultation with staff. Finance have set up a webpage where you can find out more information on this project.
HR Departmental forumOur next departmental forum will be running on Monday 2 March The aim of the forum - which had its first meeting in November - is to provide an opportunity for HR and departments to talk about changes and developments in HR practice and administration. Departments are usually represented by their departmental manager and/or HR contact. If your department hasn't yet nominated any representatives, or you would like to put a subject forward for discussion, please contact katie.ramli@york.ac.uk. Men's Health@York next meetingMen's Health@York is an initiative which focuses on the improvement of men's health. It encourages men to get together, take part in activities and support each other to talk about physical and mental health issues. The next event, themed on diet and nutrition, is happening on 25 March from 5:30pm. Booking for the event will be available soon. HR Making the Difference awardNominate a HR staff member / team for an award The Making the Difference award is your chance to nominate a member of staff or a team in Human Resources for outstanding work on a project or support they may have provided.
