Components of an Excellent Facebook Real Estate Page
What makes one Facebook real estate business page good and another one great? Why do some agents’ pages get loads of new likes and leads while others fall behind?
While there's no one-size-fits all formula, certain components consistently appear across real estate Facebook pages that agents are successfully using to grow their business socially. Take your Facebook page to the next level by utilizing these tips.
Set yourself apart and brand your page with a unique, professional cover photo.
A cover photo is the large rectangular image located at the top of your Facebook page, and it’s the first thing visitors will see. Make a great first impression by using strong real estate related imagery with high quality photos. Incorporate your personal branding such as your business name, logo and/or slogan. Visit our cover photo library to choose an image or get inspiration to create your own.
Use an up-to-date image of yourself for your profile picture.
Keep the focus of your profile picture on yourself. Avoid using your broker logo or a photo of a home for your profile picture, as these images do little to show clients who you are (these are better utilized in your cover photo). If you meet a client they should be able to recognize you from your picture. Use high-resolution photos to give your profile appearance.
Organize your tabs so that visitors can easily view and access your apps and services.
Tabs are the small square buttons located below your cover photo. Include up to 12 tabs to market your services. This adds major value to your Facebook page and makes you look like a pro. You can add tabs that link to your other social sites, like Twitter and Pinterest, or your personal website. Go the extra mile by spotlighting tabs for apps that are conveniently built into Facebook, such as Home Search, Dream Sweeps
and your Directory Profile.
Regularly fill your page with relevant, interesting content that stimulates social actions from your audience.
Likes and shares are powerful social actions that build your network and places you in front of new clients. The difference between an agent who has a large Facebook following and one who has a small following is posting a steady content stream to stay in front of fans.
Don’t forget to include your contact information!
Fill out the ‘Contact Info’ area of your Facebook page—it can make the difference between meeting leads and losing leads. Be sure to include your email address and telephone number to give potential clients a variety of contact options. Visitors can also message you directly on Facebook via comments or your inbox.
