Good morning, everyone! I hope you had an incredible, and profitable, week!
As an entrepreneur, or if you're a future entrepreneur, we come up with cool ideas and hear cool ideas from friends ALL THE TIME! Remember, everyone, YES, EVERYONE, comes up with at least one "million dollar idea" every month. We usually forget to write them down, or if we don't forget, we never act on them or start to run with it, we get distracted, we don't execute! I was about to write this update and got distracted by some digital marketing ideas, hit GoDaddy, almost bought another batch of domain names, re-focused and am
writing this update for you now! When I was in Las Vegas a friend of ours, Sandy Van, told me, Steve (TCA VP of Strategy,) and Sarah (TCA VP of Operations) about an idea to help a website like ours facilitate referrals to law firms. It was a REALLY good idea. The problem we have is TIME! Sandy doesn't have the bandwidth to kick off the project, we here at TCA don't either, but it doesn't mean it's not a killer idea. It makes me think we need to start a legal marketing/legal technology incubator to help curate these highly targeted/niche business ideas and give them a space to grow. Something to consider for next year. Remember, WRITE DOWN your ideas! Email them to yourself so you don't forget. You
might want to act on it in the future!
We're still busy launching new investigations post-Las Vegas. Our friend Greg Jones and his associates are investigating claims that a trusted baby formula (Neocate) may have contributed in giving infants rickets and other bone problems resulting in major problems for babies, including spontaneous bone fractures. If you gave your baby Neocate hypoallergenic baby formula and your baby suffered broken bones, rickets or skeletal deformities make sure
to let Greg know. For those of you who have followed us for years, you know that Greg's not just a client, he's a close personal friend of mine and has literally represented thousands of plaintiffs over the years, resulting in significant wins and settlements for his clients. I trust him! You should too!
On the home front, we've had one of the rainiest months in Phoenix EVER! October 2018 is now in the Top 5 for Phoenix, since they started measuring
total rainfall for the city. That's a WHOLE LOT OF RAIN! So much so the wash was flowing like crazy this weekend! I ALMOST went through it in my SUV. I was running to the grocery store to pick up some ingredients for a yummy dessert my beautiful bride was cooking up, I ran into my neighbor at the wash, while it was still drizzling and FLOWING, and thought, "What's the point of having the big four-wheel-drive SUV if I can't cross a small WASH?!?! Flash flood? Bah humbug!" After talking to my buddy about it (and he discouraged me from trying), he had his son turn on the video camera, and I started inching my way into the roaring flow of water. The water was light brown, with branches floating on the top and down the wash, but I kept inching into the wash. After just a few feet my front tires were completely covered and the water was up to the bottom of my door frame, a solid
foot and a half above the ground, and I wasn't even hitting the "bottom" of the wash yet . . . . I stopped, had a moment of clarity, backed up, and took the bridge a block away, likely averting a BIG problem. The next day we eyeballed the high water mark and it was easily 3.5 - 4 feet deep at the middle of the wash. Needless to say, I'm happy I didn't try it! A jacked up monster truck turned around when he saw me backing up so no one got stuck! Thankfully, you didn't see me on the news!
Last but certainly not least, I would appreciate it if you supported my daughter Aubrey and her Girl Scout troop by ordering some DELICIOUS candy! Please click here and support Aubrey's Girl Scout Troop. I ordered a bunch! Can you help out the Girl Scouts and order some, tool? Thanks in advance!
On to more lawsuit and settlement updates:
That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
