Plus: Braille Valentines, Traditional Curses, and Albert the Cat-Lamp |
T-Pain has love on his mind. In his interview with Upvoted, the king of Auto-Tune gets candid about first dates, tough breakups, and why he’s not a fan of threesomes. (He also debuted his new music video for “Officially Yours,” composed of sweet, emotional footage from fan-submitted wedding clips. Aww.)
It’s not you, or me. It’s just… a really terrible excuse. In this Ask Reddit thread, redditors shared the most cringeworthy explanations they’ve gotten for why someone said no to a date. From “Your beard is too manly” to “Your dad is BAAAALD!” these are the best (worst) rejections—illustrated with otters.
“My daughter is blind,” user mack3r shares in her post, “and her grade 2 class is exchanging Valentines tomorrow. She brailled ‘love’ on each one … The letters in print are so her classmates know what it says.” After mack3r posted a photo of the cards, hundreds of redditors commented to share their support.
Sometimes you dress to stand out, but end up … blending in. That’s what happened to these redditors and their pals, who unintentionally matched their surroundings in a snapshot-worthy way. Wait, where did they go?!
“We were given the gift of an R rating,” Deadpool co-writer Paul Wernick shares on Reddit, “and that allowed us to get away with things we could usually not get away with in a superhero movie … You know, bullets in the head, blood spurts, nothing was off limits.” Before you watch the film, check out Wernick and co-writer Rhett Reese’s hilarious answers to questions from their fans.
Albert the Persian kitty got hurt. Albert the Persian kitty went to the vet. Albert the Persian kitty got shaved. Albert the Persian kitty got the cone of shame. Now he’s a martini made of anger.
“May you see your typo only after yuo hit send…” This is just one of the not-so-traditional curses redditors suggested as a humorous alternative to swearing in the Traditional Curses community. Check out some of their funniest hexes, illustrated with—what else?—an omnipresent demon pig.
User SlamSlayer1 has penned a lightsaber-purchasing guide for aspiring Star Wars collectors. And it’s serious. (Expensive, too.) But once you see the weapons in his collection, you’ll want to rush out and buy one too. Psshew!
In an AskReddit discussion, redditors showed off their most unique treasures—from NASA diagrams and a very special edition Volkswagen to a North Korean propaganda poster.
Hillary Clinton, Peter Pan, Pee-Wee Herman: What do these people have in common? They’re all now part of the beef between Wu-Tang Clan and Martin Shkreli—which rapper Ghostface Killah escalated this week by dropping a bizarre anti-Shkreli diss video in Reddit’s Hip-Hop Heads community.
It’s normal for people to think of their lives as storylines, but there’s a phenomenon happening that is much more extreme. Psychologists are seeing patients with what’s called The Truman Show Delusion, in which they believe that they’re the unwilling star of a secret reality show, and their every move is being monitored and broadcast. One man even thought 9/11 was a plot twist in his personal narrative.
A lizard that shoots blood from its eyes? No biggie for this little guy.
