Good morning and afternoon, everyone! I hope you had a fantastic week, and are staying healthy with your loved ones! I’m doing my best to stay away from almost everyone, though we did enjoy dining out for the first time in a long time. It wasn’t in Phoenix (COVID-central), and we were outdoors to minimize our exposure. I guess it may be obvious that it wasn’t in Phoenix since we were eating outside and not melting, but I digress. Socially distanced mountain air dining for the win!
I learned something new last week. I took my daughter Aubrey to the orthodontist. Right now she's "on a break" from braces, but they'll be wrapping her chompers back up in the next year or so. The appointment went well, just a checkup to see
how they're doing as her baby teeth are leaving (or not), and figuring out what the next steps are (when to put her braces back on).
Do you know what they give kids after their appointment? ICE CREAM! Even if it’s just a checkup! No adjustment? They get ice cream! You know who also got ice cream!?! ME!!!! Holy moly, that was awesome! Back when I was a kid, I just got a sore mouth from tightened up braces. Now, they have a freezer with multiple ice cream options, from sundaes to push pops. I opted for an ice cream sandwich. It was awesome. It may be the most expensive ice cream sandwich in the world, but hey, I GOT ICE CREAM! That’s pretty darned awesome.
On the work side of things, I'd like to ask ALL Uber/Lyft rideshare drivers, EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT CURRENTLY DRIVING, to join this investigation. The attorneys are filing cases en masse against the defendants and fighting for drivers' rights, in addition to additional compensation for our valued rideshare drivers. So, if you're currently a driver, or were in the past, SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION NOW!
OK, on to more lawsuit and settlement updates!
That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
Scott Hardy
