A bold proposal with an ambitious idea about democracy and a detailed plan with strong community engagement scooped Scotland’s student awards. Paschalis Kyrtsopoulos, University of Strathclyde, and Naomi Rubbra, ESALA, were the main winners at the annual A&DS and RIAS Scottish Student Awards for Architecture.
In this newsletter we hear from this year's silver medal winner, past winners reflecting on the impact of the awards, the winner of the A&DS Urban Design Award.
We also highlight a number of opportunities, including Stalled Spaces funding in Glasgow, a lecture to close the Architecture Fringe 2017 and, last but not least, the vacancy for the next chair of A&DS.
