[DEP VET AFFAIRS]
June 5, 2014

This week, the AWD project will be added to the Projects of Concern (PoC) list as part of the plan to address the increasing commercial, schedule and cost risks outlined by the independent review by Professor Don Winter and Dr John White. Read more about this in the story below.

In other news, I take a look at plans to consider operating the F-35B STOVL version of the Joint Strike Fighter off the decks of Navy's two LHDS and the Chief of Air Force's Plan Jericho, to transition the Australian Defence Force to 5th generation capabilities such as the F-35.

The June edition of ADM has landed on my desk. Loads of news surrounding the recent budget and lots of stories regarding enhancing combat capability. We also sat down with Dean Rosenfield, managing director, Saab Australia and talked about the challenges his company is currently facing as well as his outlook for the future. As always, any and all feedback is appreciated.

And with the annual Cyber Security Summit only a few weeks away, head to www.admevents.com.au to register and have a look at the agenda.

Cheers,
Nigel Pittaway
