Shelter In Place Announcement From Governor Newsom: Cal/OSHA Emergency Temporary COVID Standards: On November 19, the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (Cal/OSHA) unanimously adopted emergency temporary standards (ETS) regarding COVID-19 prevention in the workplace. With limited exception, these regulations will be enforceable on all contractors statewide. As of January 1, 2021, employers will also need to provide certain notifications to employees, union representatives, and third parties who were on-site site during any high risk period with a COVID-19 positive individual. UCON COVID Prevention Plan Guidance Document and Compliance Templates: United Contractors, in partnership with Littler, has developed a ready-to-implement California COVID-19 Prevention Plan which provides a COVID-19 Prevention Program for employers, and templates compliant with the new Cal/OSHA regulation and California’s AB 685 notice requirement.
