Good morning, super awesome TCA viewers! Another week has gone by, and I'm back! This time with a CHECK IN HAND! Well, check on a table. I already deposited it via mobile deposit, and signed it twice so the mobile app would recognize it as being endorsed due to the odd placement of the "endorse here" line, but I digress! I got paid for the ADT Settlement. Here's my check!
It took about 18 months from the time I submitted my claim, to the day I received my check. That's not great, but it's not too bad as class action settlements go. That
long wait is why I encourage people to consistently submit claims for settlements they qualify for. If you only submit four claims, and then three months later you're wondering where your checks are, you will be disappointed. But if you submit a claim every week or two, you'll start to receive checks in around a year (maybe less, but, as you can tell from above, these things take time.) And if you're submitting a claim every week, you'll receive checks regularly. Some big, some small, but every single one will help!
Why did I say "four settlements"? Well, that's because I received a complaint from a viewer who's not following my advice, and naturally has been disappointed. They said, "Scott, I submitted claims for FOUR settlements MONTHS ago, and I haven't received a PENNY! Are you a
SCAM?!?!?!" Nicole, our fearless social media manager and official Question Answerer (is that a word?) gave her some advice on how to maximize her success with class actions. Namely, submitting more claims! If you receive this newsletter, you're on your way! Just keep submitting those claims and you'll get PAID! Just be patient, because it can take almost two years just to get a single check. Also, don't throw away those postcards! They may be checks!
On the home front we're seeing rain, which is awesome, but since we're in the desert flooding comes with it. So, stay safe out there! To my friends in Texas, I hope you're safe as well! Some crazy weather is coming our way! It looks like Phoenix will get our monsoon season after all, woohoo!
