As far as Defence was concerned, this year's Budget was rather 'beige' as ADM Editor Katherine Ziesing writes today. But we are hardly left wanting given the numerous Defence spending announcements of recent weeks. Katherine also comments on the Land 2110 down select for ADF CBRND.

Senior Correspondent Julian Kerr reveals a Spanish F-100 will join NUSHIP Hobart early next year as she is introduced into service and the Senate releases its report on Defence's physical science and engineering workforce.

The Wasp AE micro air vehicle tender has been preferred for Land 129 Phase 4 (small UAS) and in other unmanned news the Malaysians have adopted the Thales Fulmar for use in maritime enforcement,
