Your support equals more early literacy stations which in return provides school readiness, independent learning, new explorations, and a love of learning at an early age.

How Can I Join the Library's Annual Campaign?
Every gift to the library has the power to enrich, improve and transform lives. Large or small, today or planned, one-time or ongoing, all gifts make a difference. We can build the future - together!

Here's how you can make a tax-deductible gift to the 2019-2020 campaign today:

  • Complete a 2019-2020 appeal card.

  • Donate through our secure site:
    1. I'd like my gift to support the Rosa Rattray Early Literacy Fund.
    2. I'd like my gift to support the new Central Library.

  • Visit any library location for details.

What's in a Book Club?
By Deb Quaile, Interlibrary Loans
Improved literacy skills may be the foremost recognized benefit of reading, but what are some other outcomes? For the majority of children and adults, relaxation, improved knowledge, enjoyment and increased social awareness and connections are tangibly measured results of reading. During the winter months, our book clubs are still going strong and you can join at any time! Check the library's website for a listing of club dates, reading lists and locations. If you want to create a club with a circle of friends, you can borrow a book club set or pick up a set-to-go in a bag with a tracking sheet, discussion guide and 10 books. Happy reading!
