Hot on the heels of ADM 2017 we bring you the latest Defence Week Premium. Thanks to all who attended and the sponsors who assisted us to make this year's event yet another success. There were some big announcements and the general mood of the crowd was positive as the work of the major reforms affecting the Defence/industry relationship start to gain traction and become tangible.
At the event, ADM Editor Katherine Ziesing announced that the Essington Lewis Awards will be making a return this year. Formerly known as the ADM/DMO Awards for Excellence, the new streamlined awards will be presented at a gala dinner the night before the Defence and Industry conference in Canberra on June 14 – more to come on our website events page.
In other news, although President Trump would like to take all the credit, F-35 costs for the latest production lot continue to fall and ADM takes a first peek aboard the Italian FREMM frigate Carabiniere as she arrives in Adelaide.
Defence industry Young Achievers have been recognised at AIDN's annual awards and Damen briefs industry on its OPV push.
For those unable to attend ADM 2017, some of the presentations can be viewed on the ADM Events website,
