Counting down to medals

It's been really pleasing to see so many people coming down on Saturdays for some extra dance practice with just four weeks left until medals (as if you needed reminding!).

Entry forms are now overdue, so if you haven't already completed yours, please ensure you get it to Kim or Michael as soon as possible this week.

If it's not already in your diary, don't forget to pencil in the Gold Night at our Commerce St Studio on Saturday, 20 June. Come along to support our Gold medalists and be inspired by what you could achieve in future years. Start time for the evening is to be confirmed, but we'll have all the details in our June newsletter - keep an eye out for it.

Congrats to our Kiwi Classic dancers

Some of you have been asking how the Pro Am ladies did at the Kiwi Classic in Auckland last month. Kathleen (right) and Julie (left) both did an amazing job and came home with a heap of medals each! Congratulations also to Suzanne and Stuart (pictured below), who danced on the Saturday and consistently placed in the top three.
 
 

Welcome to new dancers

A big welcome to our new dancers who've joined the beginner ballroom and Latin American class on Wednesdays at our studio in the Fraser Tech Clubrooms. A shout out also to all our wonderful existing members who've stepped in to partner them. And it's not just this new class - we have so many people who regularly put their hands up to partner across all of our classes at the two studios. Thanks to you all! 
 
 

Private lessons

If you're wanting to improve your technique or feel you need a little extra help, Michael (Footwork principal) is available during weekdays and on weekends for private lessons. Please contact Michael on 021 273 8903 to discuss times.

And in other news...
Michael has just recently added to his existing Ballroom and Latin American professional qualifications. He is now also qualified as a licentiate New Vogue teacher, having just recently passed his exam (with honours) with the New Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers. 
 
 

Just finally...

If you're heading to Hamilton Dancesport's 'Frozen Ball' in Tamahere in a couple of weeks, we look forward to seeing you there. It's great to hear this event has been so well-supported, with tickets selling out.
