Click here Welcome to the EECA's Efficient Products News - February 2020 We need your sales dataIt’s nearly time to submit your sales data which we use to measure the energy savings to consumers and businesses. Importers and/or manufacturers are required by law to provide EECA with information on sales. The sales data collection for 2019/2020 (for sales between 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020) is coming up. An email outlining what you need to do will be sent on 1 April. It’s important to update us if the contact person for sales data at your company has changed, or if you are aware of any new manufacturers or importers of regulated products that we should be in touch with. Tell us about registrationIf you have registered a product with EECA at any point, we want to know how you found using the registration system, as well as the service you received. Please help us by completing the short survey which will be open until 17 February. Energy Rating Label - retailersAre you a retailer and confused about the requirements for the Energy Rating Label? We have answered some of the commonly asked questions and included guidance for retailers on which products require labels, how to display the label, what to do if no label is provided, and the fine for non-compliance. LED performance requirementsIn June last year, EECA advised stakeholders the New Zealand Cabinet had approved the E3 policy proposal for LED lamps, which included performance requirements aligned with the pending European Union (EU) regulation for LED lamps. The EU regulations have now been published online and work is now moving forward on the development of the performance requirements and test standard.
