This year ACTED and Convergences are launching a global message on human development, environmental protection and inclusive development. First introduced to the 200 partner organizations of Convergences on 16th July 2015, the Manifesto for a Global Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty Partnership, will be officially launched, with emblematic figures, during the closing session of the 8th Convergences World Forum on Wednesday 9th September 2015 at the Hôtel de Ville. The French President François Hollande will inaugurate the 8th edition of the Convergences World Forum on Monday 7th September 2015

We are pleased to announce that the French President François Hollande will inaugurate the 8th edition of the Convergences World Forum with an opening speech on Monday 7th September 2015 at the Palais Brongniart in Paris. This speech will be a high point of the 2015 World Forum Zero exclusion, Zero carbon, Zero poverty, and a key step towards mobilizing all stakeholders, public and private institutions, policy makers, civil society representatives and economic and societal institutions, ahead of the World Climate Conference in Paris.

The 8th edition of the Convergences World Forum will gather 300 speakers, 10,000 citizens and professionals, 20 chief editors of international media outlets, representing 50 different nationalities. ACTED is a French international solidarity organisation driven by a mission to support vulnerable populations throughout the world and to accompany them in building a better future by providing an adapted response to specific needs since 1993. One of the main French international solidarity associations, ACTED assists populations affected by crisis with a global but also local approach that is multidisciplinary and adapted to each context.
