AFA SYSTEMS PROVIDES ENGINEERED PACKAGING SOLUTIONS FOR ALL OF YOUR AUTOMATION NEEDS
New Product: AF-APS - Automated Corrugated Runner System (Video ID: Sim-51)
AFA has successfully developed a new automated corrugated runner system for corrugated pallets. The system automatically groups corrugated sheets and feeds them into the tray-wrap-around area. The AF-APS will then pick a corrugated tray that will wrap around the grouped sheets of corrugate. A Nordson ProBlue Adhesive unit will apply glue to ensure the corrugated tray adequately adheres to the grouped corrugated sheets, which will create the corrugated pallet runner. The corrugated runner systems' loading, forming, and sealing is completed through AFA's standard gantry robot and tray forming technology.
Product Update: MK-LSP - Linear Servopack Horizontal Autoload Cartoner (Video ID: 432)
AFA Systems has completed a cartoner to handle tubes of product at 100 per minute. Since the tubes had a mushroom top closure and skinny base, the cartoner had to lay down the tubes to collate more efficiently. This design ensured smooth entry into the linear servopack collating system. After, five (5) cartons are loaded per cycle to provide a rate of 100 cpm. The lugs on the main carton conveyor are modified to ensure the running of a fifth-panel carton. Servo motors and drives on all major actuated components improve trouble-shooting capabilities and operation. The MK-LSP also utilizes an Allen Bradley PLC with PanelView 1000 HMI.
