![]() MEMBER SURVEY RESULTS Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, AMSRO has consulted with members across two surveys, designed to ensure our member services continue to stay relevant, meeting members' real-time needs and informing AMSRO's government procurement campaign and advocacy efforts. Thank you to our members for your participation and continued support. ![]() COVID-19 MEMBER SURVEY TOPLINE RESULTS Wave 2 - May 2020 Changes to business due to COVID-19 80% of member organisations have or will be applying for the JobKeeper payment. Since the first survey (April 2020) fewer businesses now have all staff working from home with many now planning and moving staff back into the office. AMSRO members continue to have access to legal advice (via the AMSRO free legal hotline) when implementing changes to business operations. Effect of COVID-19 on mental health Members are now more positive about the mental health of themselves and their teams when compared to the April results. However, challenges remain for members to manage the mental wellbeing of their teams. AMSRO has partnered with Alison Earl and Chris Savage to deliver a series of workshops around boosting resilience and the human connection. Access to workshop content is available and can be shared with team members. Membership renewal A majority of members (93%) expect to renew their AMSRO membership (extremely/very/quite likely). Around a quarter of respondents, expressed interest in receiving invoices quarterly or six-monthly as opposed to annually. AMSRO has acted on member feedback by reducing membership fees to pre-COVID rates and offer a variety of payment term options for membership renewal. Member Services The importance of having a legal consultancy, quality advisory services, risk management training and government lobbying are considered essential services for AMSRO members. AMSRO is continuing to prioritise these key core services to members with a reduced focus on services deemed to be of lower value. Leaders Forum Conference - October 2020 Almost two-thirds of members remain interested in (physically) attending the Leaders Forum in Sydney in October. There is some interest in reducing the costs associated with the Leaders Forum, particularly amongst smaller member organisations. AMSRO is working on revising the program for this year’s Leaders Forum to ensure it retains its value to members while addressing the current market challenges. ![]() COVID-19 MEMBER SURVEY TOPLINE RESULTS Wave 1 - April 2020 Changes to business due to COVID-19 Most research businesses had already made significant changes to the way they are running their businesses at the time of the survey. The next wave of the survey will look specifically at the JobKeeper initiative also (as this was introduced during the survey Wave 1 period). Changes to Existing Projects Most businesses have experienced project deferrals and cancellations, but it is positive to see that just over half have had new COVID-related projects specifically commissioned also. AMSRO will continue to advocate on behalf of our members, with on-going Government communication planned over the coming weeks. Changes to revenue The majority of members expect to see revenue decline in both this and next financial year. AMSRO’s Revenue Statistics survey should provide some indication of the scale of the actual impact after the current quarter data is submitted in July. Effect of COVID-19 on mental health The expected impact on the mental health of members and their teams is a significant issue and one that AMSRO will continue to focus on through the provision of support. Watching out for those struggling and finding ways of managing this situation will be necessary. A recording of AMSRO and CIE Legal's recent Mental Health First Aid Tool Kit webinar is available should you require. ![]() AMSRO membership is due July 1 2020.
