June 29, 2021 House Appropriations Committee Approves Subcommittee Funding Allocations for Fiscal Year 2022Today, the House Committee on Appropriations approved Subcommittee funding allocations for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 by a vote of 33 – 25. These allocations outline the amount of funding each Appropriations Subcommittee will have to fund programs within their jurisdictions for FY 2022. Notably, the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (LHHS) Subcommittee received an allocation of $237.5 billion, which is an increase of $40.5 billion (21%) over last year’s funding level. The House Committee on Appropriations is continuing to markup their 12 FY 2022 appropriations bills through June and July. The LHHS appropriations bill is scheduled to be marked up on July 12th by the Subcommittee and July 15th by the Full Committee. A full markup schedule can be found here.
