Product Update: CP-WCP - Wrap Around Case Packer (Video ID: 420)
AFA Systems has updated the design of its CP-WCP - Wrap Around Case Packer. The case packer now features increased speed and size range to handle your specific application. For this application, the system was handling Boardio Cans (https://www.ar-packaging.com/en/solutions/boardio) at over 110 ppm. The wrap-around case packer features a gantry robot-style wrap-around case erector to provide smooth operation and easy change-over. A robust frame allows for 24/7 operation, and a Nordson Flex adhesive with engineered folding rails and compression cylinders provides closing. An Allen Bradley PLC and servo motors control the CP-WCP.
Product Update: HD-CMA - Heavy Duty Continuous Motion Autoload Cartoner
The HD-CMA provides high-speed cartoning that runs at high efficiency. The system incorporates ramp-up style continuous motion buckets to minimize the number of components. The HD-CMA's servo rotary carton feeder can reach speeds of 320 cartons per minute. The heavy-duty frame of the system ensures limited vibrations and 24/7 operation. This application featured the HD-CMA running aluminum cans at 250 cpm coming from a single lane. The HD-CMA smoothly oriented cans in the correct infeed position through a servo-driven starwheel. The system comes complete with Allen Bradley servo motors and PLC.
Product Feature: MK-LSP - Linear Servopac Autoload Cartoner
AFA Systems can handle difficult bag-in-box applications with high efficiency and precision. This application featured the MK-LSP handling bags of samosas at 60 products per minute. The package had a sauce package which required more precise handling. The MK-LSP can collate bags of product through its linear servopack and innovative loading system. The loading system features both side and top compression to load flexible bags into an erected carton easily. The MK-LSP features a rapid change over with servo-aided change over points and a servo rotary intermittent motion carton feeder.
