The 5YO students invited other students to their classroom to observe a cool Life Cycle of Snails. Future Goals for the Middle School and SecondaryMiddle School and Secondary students spent some time this week considering their futures. For those students continuing at the school from last year, they were refining their existing educational and career goals to reflect their current thinking. For new students, they are making an initial record of their future goals and plans. It is good for students to be considering 2 or 3 careers based on their interests and to also investigate how they can prepare educationally to leave all options open as long as possible. The lifelong single career is largely history. We will continue to look at these goals and plans next week, and two or three more times this year, paying particular attention to things they can do now to begin preparing for their education and career choices. Literacy WeekA heartfelt thank you to all the PSG moms who helped with Literacy Week, Book Exchange and the Bake Sale! We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you to all who came and read stories on Wednesday. I heard great things from students about the stories you shared! All the students had a wonderful time teaching and learning from each other on the 100th day of school and during reading buddies. Shared buddy reading time between 11 and 7-year-olds. The 7-year-olds read their newly created ebook stories with the 11-year-olds and 11-year-olds shared their favorite children's literature books. 10 Year Old UpdateThe 10 year olds had a busy week. They finished their Matter unit by sharing their knowledge to the 6 year old class. They enjoyed all the celebrations of the week helping the 5 year olds on the 100 th Day of school, Reading Buddies with the 6 year olds and enjoyed hearing mothers read to us. |
