Mundaring Arts Centre - Elevate Arts Magnify Magnificence Textiles workshop

Friday 7 June
Join artist Kate Campbell-Pope for this special workshop which will teach 3D fibre form construction inspired by the investigation of seeds, pods and pollen, using natural fibres, threads and plant material, basketry and textiles construction techniques. 

Participants will be invited to return their creations for the community exhibition Seeds, Pods and Pollen at Mundaring Arts Centre 13 Sep-27 Oct as part of the What on Earth project. Hills Fabric & Craft De-Stash

Hills Fabric and Craft De-Stash is an event bringing sellers and buyers together all in one place. This event gives sewists, artisans, creatives, quilters, scrapbookers, knitters, beaders and painters a chance to clear out their cupboards, come together and "de-stash" excess supplies.

Head out with a guide along the Bibbulmun track from the Perth Hills Discovery Centre to Ball Creek Campsite. Experience what the Jarrah forest has to offer, listen and search for birds and discover facts about some of our special plant species. Bibbulmun Track - Pub, Pumps and Pipes walk

Take a step back into the 1890’s when C Y O’Connor began work on engineering the longest freshwater pipeline in the world. Explore the history and controversy surrounding the construction of the Mundaring Weir, the pump stations and the 560km pipeline with an expert guide from the National Trust. Discover the secrets of this industrial heritage icon whilst following the O’Connor Trail, Bibbulmun Track and the Weir Walk.  9am-2.30pm. More here.

Take a Magical Winter Solstice Ride with Forge Farm

Arrive at Forge Farm at 3pm for a two hour ride along the beautiful KEP Track, arriving at Fettler’s Crossing at dusk. Put your horse in the paddock and enjoy a curry (other options available) and a drink around the camp fire, before being driven back to your car at Forge Farm whenever you are ready to leave. Cost per rider is $145 per person includes a meal and glass of wine.

Darlington Bush & Variety Walk Series - 2019

Chittawarra Valley, Glen Forrest

The first walk of the season is a distance of 6.5km and requires a good level of fitness, featuring a combination of wide trails and bush tracks, with a couple of long steeper sections. Mundaring District Museum - Made in Mundaring exhibition

Exploring the many marvellous items that have been Made in Mundaring’.

From the granite slabs quarried at Mahogany Creek for the Perth GPO, to the beautiful stained-glass windows made in Greenmount by Gowers & Brown, the range of building materials, foods, domestic objects, artworks and inventions made locally is extraordinary.


The labour and creativity of people in the past and present is acknowledged in the array of objects displayed and in the stories of the individuals who made them. Open Mon-Sat 9.30am-4pm, Sun & Public Hols 10am-2.30pm. Museum is co-located with the Mundaring Visitor Centre, 7225 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring.
