June: National Pride Month
June is National Pride Month, a time to affirm and increase visibility of our LGBTQIA+ community. Pride Month also commemorates the Stonewall Riots, which occurred in June of 1969. Now, more than ever, we must first examine our past in order to understand our present and future. June Required Mentor-Scholar Summer Activity
For 2020 Mentors only - This is a reminder to contact your Scholar and plan a time to complete the June Mentor-Scholar activity. This activity is the first of 3 required summer activities for 2020 Mentors and Scholars to complete together.
This activity includes 3 sections: Prework (Personality Quiz ~ 15 min); Main Activity (Mentor-Scholar Interview and Discussion Questions ~ 60 min); and Feedback Form (5 min). The June Activity and Feedback Form are due by June 30th, at 11:59 pm.

June Theme: Self-Reflection
This month, we are focusing on self-reflection. We encourage our Mentors and Scholars to slow down and take a moment to think about who you are and who you're working to be. To encourage self-reflection and to help build your Mentor-Scholar relationship, we have designed an activity for you and your Scholar to participate in together.
The activity has 2 parts: The Prework (Personality Quiz ~ 15 min) and the Main Activity (Mentor-Scholar Interview and Discussion Questions ~ 60 min). We strongly recommend that you and your Scholar use this activity as an opportunity to reflect with each other and grow closer in your relationship. Click the link below to learn more!
Mentors of the Class of 2020
Please join us on Wednesday, June 17th from 5-6 pm for a virtual graduation recognition ceremony. And please consider volunteering to share your words of inspiration with these amazing graduates. OP is looking for 3 Mentors to speak to the class on June 17th. Please contact elaineleitner@gmail.com by Friday, June 5th, if you are interested.

The CREWS Leader application is now open for the 2020-2021 academic year! Know a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th+ year Scholar attending UCD, UCB, UCM, or UCSC with a passion to serve and mentor first-year Scholars?
Encourage them to submit an application, due Tuesday, July 30th.
