We work best when we work together and we hope you will continue to support the overall impact we make on bringing tourists to Tipperary to stay in our accommodation, eat our great food, enjoy our unique sites and get thrill from the variety of activities. Here’s what we’ve been busy doing in 2018 to promote Tipperary Tourism together…We did our homework to find out what our customers want and put together a thoroughly researched marketing strategy which will bring us up to 2020. We distributed 99,000 promotional materials telling people about our great holiday destination. Not by hand thankfully…
We increased visits to the website We were at full tilt on social media connecting with our customers and engaging thousands of users with great content, competitions and fabulous imagery of Tipperary. We have set up a dedicated training page on http://tipperary.com/training for one stop shop training opportunities. We helped you get in on the act with two digital media training events which had an immediate impact and it’s so encouraging to see so many tourism business’ engaging with our social media accounts.
We even had the bloggers talking about us with 285,000 impressions thanks to support from MyLittleBábóg and MyKidsTime. We supported the extension of the Butler Trail to Roscrea bringing the Roscrea story to life with a walking guide app in English, French and German. Throughout the year, we worked extensively with the Tipperary Food Producers and look forward to working with them on the Tipperary Breakfast Champions and a new Tipperary Food Trail in 2019. We worked in partnership with Tipperary County Council to support the redevelopment of Tipperary County Museum which will be open for business in the summer. And we don’t plan to stop there. We want to keep showcasing your great businesses and service in our great county. We want you to join us in promoting Tipperary across Ireland and to international travelers as their top destination. Here’s a few top tips to help you get the best out of your social media platforms in 2019…1. If someone says something good about your business, let everyone know about it. Screen shot what they say and repost; and engage with the compliments! 2. Watch out for our calls for particular images – add a short description which tells us your unique selling point and we’ll include it in our schedule library to post across all our platforms. 3. When we post one of Tipperary’s top attractions, share it and let the world know how close you are and the benefit of going to your business for food, accommodation, activities or anything else you have to offer. 4. With the minimum reach last year coming in at 50,000, make sure you get involved with our social media competitions to spread the word about your business, product or service.
