UCF Heart Day Hands-Only CPR Training - Sept. 27

In anticipation of World Heart Day, UCF Heart Day will provide free hands-only CPR instruction to the UCF community on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Twenty-minute hands-only CPR sessions will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Key West Ballroom of the Student Union (Room 218).

The sessions will also include instruction on the use of AEDs and information about heart health. Hands-only CPR is cardiopulmonary resuscitation without mouth-to-mouth. It is recommended for use by people who see a teen or adult suddenly collapse in an “out-of-hospital” setting, such as at home, work, or in a public place.

Equifax Data Breach

As more information becomes available about the Equifax data breach, many consumers have questions relating to how it affects them — and their credit — personally.

The Atlanta-based credit reporting agency recently announced that as many as 143 million people were exposed when hackers exploited a website application to access protected files earlier this year. Equifax, one of three main cogs in the U.S. lending industry, waited six weeks to tell the public, leading to outrage and calls for class-action lawsuits.
