March is Women's History Month. A time to honor and acknowledge the legacy, contributions, and achievements of women in the United States. The 2020 Women's History Month theme is Valiant Women of the Vote - which honors "the brave women who fought to win suffrage rights for women, and for the women who continue to fight for the voting rights of others."

Equal Pay Day (March 31st) was created in 1996 by the National Committee on Pay Equity (NCPE) to promote awareness to the gap between men's and women's wages. Because women earn less than men, they must work longer for the same amount of pay. The wage gap is even greater for women of color.
