Add/Drop Instructions for Upper School Students
An add/drop period for schedule changes will be open Wednesday, Sept. 16-25. Upper School students must receive approval from their advisors and all teachers whose classes are being added or dropped. Also, schedule changes are dependent on appropriate placement, scheduling logistics, and class capacity.
For arts and elective change requests, students may refer to the Upper School Arts List for the course and block information. Reminder: Students may only take one class in each block.
Add/Drop Instructions for Upper School Students
-
Consult with your advisor before you begin the process of changing courses. If your advisor approves, move to step two.
-
Obtain approval from the faculty member whose class you would like to add. You must have the approval of a teacher to join their class before you can request permission to drop a class.
-
Obtain the approval of the faculty member whose class you would like to drop.
-
Submit an online Add/Drop Form. You will need your advisor's email address and the name, block, and teacher of all classes you are adding/dropping.
-
Once the schedule change has been processed, you will receive an email notification from the Registrar's Office.
The Add/Drop Form will not accept entries until Wednesday, Sept. 16, and will close on Friday, Sept. 25, at 2:00 pm.
If you have any questions, please contact Susan Kurlinski or Barbara Pinti.

NWS Community Fitness Online
All students (as well as parents/guardians and faculty) are invited to join Tyree Harris, our fit club/strength and conditioning coach, for NWS Community Fitness Online, weeknights at 5:00 pm PT, starting Monday, Sept. 14. Workouts will be 20-30 minutes, as we very much appreciate the desire/need to limit screen time. The workouts will be challenging yet scalable to your individual exertion and fitness levels.
Each session will be recorded and made available. To help Tyree match workouts with student goals, we will hold a roundtable discussion at 5:30 pm following the workout on Sept. 14 and all are invited to join in the conversation. If you have input but are not able to join in the roundtable conversation, please convey your thoughts here. Here’s to a trimester of enhanced fitness and all-around well-being!
