Council names Sport and Recreation grant recipients

Sporting and recreational bodies from throughout the Gladstone Region were named as the beneficiaries of Council funding assistance on November 19.

Various clubs and associations were awarded more than $200,000 in funding via Council's Sport and Recreation Grants program with the Gladstone Netball Association the major beneficiary, receiving $77,000 to resurface five courts at its busy Memorial Court headquarters. Read more...

Annual Report highlights 2012-2013 achievements

Gladstone Regional Council's achievements for the past financial year can be found in its 2012-13 Annual Report, adopted at its November 19 general meeting. 

Gladstone Region Mayor Gail Sellers said the report was an historical reference document which highlights Council's performance and achievements across a diverse range of activities.

The 'state of the region' was also revealed in a detailed report by the Gladstone Region Community Plan Reference Groups. Read more…
