Dear KCO friends,

It’s great to see the online registrations happening with leaders and campers signing up. Please continue to encourage your leaders and parents to jump online and register for KCO 2018. Registrations are open till 26 Feb.

Event Team members have been for a site visit this week to Adare and Beachfront to check everything is in order and ready to roll. It’s getting exciting!

Dress Rehearsal - training for small group leaders

3 March 2018 - morning OR afternoon sessions
Uniting College, Lipsett Tce Brooklyn Park

This is an excellent opportunity to run through the KCO program with the Event team, to clarify details about the event and ensure all small group leaders understand what will be happening at KCO. Group kits will also be available for collection.

There will be a morning session (9:30am-11:30pm) and the session will be repeated again in the afternoon (1:30pm- 3:30pm). We highly recommend all churches who intend bringing a group to KCO have at least one leader attend either session.

Please RSVP attendance to kco@sa.uca.org.au

Seeking volunteers for KCO!

The KCO team is looking for volunteers to help out with different aspects of the children’s camp on Saturday 17 and/or Sunday 18 March!

The Create session of KCO provides a time for campers to engage in different creative arts and craft activities. Volunteers are needed to supervise the activities, and to share a craft or other creative activities. People who have been involved in Messy Church may be able to share their expertise to enrich the Create session.

The KCO team is also looking for volunteers to help with admin, welcome, security, traffic management, the community tree, and event logistics.

For more information or to volunteer, please email kco@sa.uca.org.au

Group chaplains

Please ensure that your group has arranged a leader who will act as chaplain for your group during KCO.

Group Requirements Survey

Group Requirements surveys need to be filled out so that the KCO Event Office can begin to plan the logistics of the event.

Please take a minute to indicate your plans.

Fill out the survey before 19 February, please.

Commissioning service and offering poster

The KCO Team encourages Group Coordinators to hold a short Commissioning Service, inviting their congregation to recognize, support and pray for those children and adults attending KCO 2018.

Be encouraged to plan the service in a way that welcomes and involves children attending KCO, as well as their families and junior and adult leaders, cooks, site team and drivers.

At KCO an offering will be collected. Half goes towards the KCO program, including supporting groups to attend KCO and the other half goes to an organisation or cause that is chosen by campers at KCO. A poster with the three options for this year’s offering is available now if your group would like to chat about and choose their favourite option before arriving at KCO.

Find the service and poster on the group coordinator's webpage under "Resources">

Beachfront info

Groups staying at Beachfront (and day groups) will have access to the Cudmore room at Adare for storage during KCO.

Beachfront play equipment (including bouncy pillow, skate park, etc) are not a part of the KCO program. For your group's safety and the effectiveness of the KCO program, please remain within the KCO event fencing when not in transit to/from Adare.

Remember to vote in State elections

The SA Government elections are being held on the Saturday of KCO. We recommend anyone coming to KCO who is required to vote does so before that weekend.

Regos close 26 February

Don't forget to get all your campers to register by 26 February!

Please remember the Parent’s Information book is available to assist parents with both the registration process and other details about the KCO event.

We look forward to seeing you and your leaders at the Dress Rehearsal.

Blessings,
The KCO Event Office
