This 6-inch LTO retails at €5.90 and is being supported by social media and television advertising featuring Tinze, an internationally- renowned twerk dancer. New initiatives include ordering and paying ahead, pickup and delivery options and spacing out seating areas to allow more space between parties. Ample space, social buzz and variety of cuisines will bode well in the future foodservice industry. 4. MORRISONS' MATCHDAY DELIVERYSeeing that all football matches are now being televised with fan attendance prohibited, Morrisons have upped their game by launching a new matchday food bundle range. The grocery chain has teamed up with Deliveroo to offer burgers, pies, crisps and chips as well as beer and cider to provide the perfect matchday food experience at home. Orders can be placed through the Deliveroo APP, which will then be delivered to consumers' doorsteps in as little as 30 minutes. Consumers can customise their matchday "bundle" to suit their unique preferences. The new delivery offering is set to launch this week, with the return of the English Premier League. 5. DISHOOM BREAKFAST AT HOMEDishoom, the UK-based chain which pays homage to the Irani cafés and foods of Bombay, has created their first at-home cookery kit to re-create their signature Bacon Naan Rolls. The kit includes smoked streaky bacon, 3 naan doughballs, sweet and spicy tomato-chilli jam, fresh coriander and cream cheese along with loose leaf Darjeeling tea, chai spices and fresh ginger slices for brewing Chef Naved's much-loved Masala Chai. AMAZON’S ‘ULTRA FAST FRESH’ LAUNCHAmazon is accelerating the rollout of their UK grocery delivery service, ‘Ultra Fast Fresh’. The plan is to create a robust customer-facing platform for grocery, enabling deliveries to take place within one to two hours. More stores are being onboarded as Morrisons announced 40 of their stores will now serve Amazon customers. 7. PIZZA HUT FUSION LAUNCHTo celebrate the country’s ethnic diversity, Pizza Hut Malaysia has launched Nasi Lemak Pizza, in a unique fusion of various cultural influences. The Nasi Lemak Pizza will be available throughout Malaysian locations until the end of August, featuring their signature base topped with spicy sambal, crispy chicken chunks and Nasi Lemak must-haves- anchovies, peanuts and cucumber. IMMUNITY-BOOSTING TRENDSA recent study by Chr. Hansen revealed that consumers are concerned about supporting their immune system and are keen to meet this demand through food. While most consumers correlated probiotics with gut health, they didn’t realise 70-80% of the body’s immune cells are in the gut, with probiotics aiding immunity. Another study by FMCG in May that involved 1000 participants found that 72% recorded feeling worried about their immune health and overall health and wellbeing. Almost 50% reported that in the current climate, they became more conscious of their choices and the impact of food on their immune defence. 9. NOMA STRIPS BACK Often cited as one of the best restaurants in the world, Danish restaurant, Noma, recently has reopened its doors with a surprisingly stripped-back menu. The fine-dining establishment, which typically charged £300 for a tasting menu and £175 for the wine pairing has turned its hand to premium burgers for just £18.
