DAVID BOWIE
BIRTHDAY PRINT

Greetings,

We wanted to tell you about our new Birthday Print Series. From time to time, we will be offering special, limited run 8x10 print of the artists in the archive on their birthday.

We are launching the series to celebrate the birthday of David Bowie, who would have been 74 today.

Available today only: a special limited run (only 25) 8x10 archival pigment print of Alec Byrne's classic photo of Bowie in Paddington Green Park in September, 1969, taken as "Space Oddity" was beginning to climb the charts.

The photo was selected for the program produced for the 1969 Humble Pie tour, on which Bowie appeared performing a solo acoustic opening set.

Nearly 50 years later, the program was pulled from Bowie's personal archive and included in the book included with the now out-of-print Five Years box set (scroll down for more information on that).

This print is being offered today only and to our mailing list only and requires the password FIVEYEARS to purchase.

DAVID BOWIE:
COLLECTOR'S EDITION

Five Years 1969-1973
Boxed Set
COLLECTORS EDITION

In 2015, a few months after his untimely passing, Parlaphone released what would turn out to be the final reissue project supervised by Bowie, the David Bowie: Five Years 1969-1973 Boxed Set.

Now out of print, collectible condition copies of the set can now cost upwards of $2,000. We have a single copy of the vinyl version of the set available, bundled with one of the special 8x10 prints by Alec Byrne described above. Alec will also sign his photo in the book included with the set on request. The box is brand new, the vinyl has never been played.

Five Years set collects all of the material officially released by Bowie during the nascent stage of his career from 1969 to 1973, including six studio albums, some newly remastered, and an array of rarities, including the 2003 stereo remix of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, previously available only on the DVD portion of the record's 40th anniversary reissue. A staggering 13 LPs pressed on 180-gram vinyl. The 84 page book bundled with the set  includes in-depth liner notes, reviews, rare photos (including Alec's), notes from producers Tony Visconti and Ken Scott and a foreword penned by Ray Davies.

Price: $1969
