Pyjamas at the ready!

Our week of fun in pyjamas kicks off on Saturday. Hurray! And this year, the number of you signing up to take part has been overwhelming. We are so excited to see the imaginative fundraising ideas that you all come up with! If you've signed up but haven't made plans yet it's time to get those thinking caps on! Over the last week or so we've been trying to call as many of you as we can to see if we can help or offer any support with your event. If you still need inspiration, check out our 'Ideas generator'.

We’ve already heard about an upcoming pyjama chess tournament and a PJ dog walking afternoon, among many, many others. Don’t forget to let us know what you’re planning – and remember to take photos and send them on to us, so we can cheer you on using our Facebook and Twitter pages.

You can either email us pics, share them on our Facebook page or tweet them to us @BrainAppeal. It sounds obvious, but after your event, don’t forget to send in the money you’ve raised! It’s not too late to join in the fun either, click here.

An amazing art event

A massive thanks to all of the artists who gave their time and creative talents for our Letter In Mind exhibition. We had over 1,000 people through the doors at the gallery@oxo and the event was a great success. Thanks to all of you who came along to the event, and bought pieces.

Our opening night went incredibly well, with celebrity supporters, Joanna David, Simon de Deney, Sophie Thompson and Haydn Gwynne (pictured above with our Chief Executive, Theresa Dauncey) all coming along to support us and be a part of the buying action! Big thanks to all of those who bought online, too – in fact, there are still a few masterpieces left, so if you fancy treating yourself, check out our online gallery, where all artwork is priced at just £80.

Run for us

The London Marathon is the biggest fundraising event in the world. Were you lucky enough to get a place in next year’s race? Congratulations! We’d absolutely love it if you’d choose us as your nominated charity and help to raise funds for the National Hospital. If you missed out on a place and are keen to still take part, it’s not too late to join our Brain Appeal Team and run for us. We’d so love to have you on board – get an application form here. Don’t hang around too long – the closing date is 7 November.

It's never too early...

...To start feeling a bit festive! Whether you fancy our bold vintage designs, or a traditional London Christmas scene, you can browse the whole range. All proceeds from our Christmas cards and events go towards our Operating Theatres Appeal. We need £4million – and are currently at £2million and counting – so every sale really does make a difference. Our cards are always hugely popular and sell out fast, so get your order in!
