We're pleased to announce that Prof. Kwangsung Park will become the next editor-in-chief of Sexual Medicine, the ISSM's open access journal.

Prof. Park earned his MD and PhD degrees at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, Korea. He is currently a Professor of Urology at Chonnam National University Hospital.

"His professionalism, his high level of knowledge, his passion towards our field, his experience in editorial boards and his dedication to enhance our vibrant international association were key to recommending him for this important position," wrote ISSM President Dr. Wayne J.G. Hellstrom in a statement. 

Prof. Park is now working with current editor-in-chief Alan Shindel on the transition. 

"The ISSM owes Alan Shindel a great deal for pioneering the open access model as well as for his sustained commitment and contribution to “Sexual Medicine.” The recent announcement that the journal has been accepted for inclusion in the Science Citation Index endorses the fact that he clearly played a vital part in the journal’s success," Dr. Hellstrom wrote.
