Unfortunately we are unable to promote simple sales, but are open to receiving all other types or events. Space in our newsletter is limited, and if we are unable to include your event we will list it on our website events section.

Swiftsure International Yacht Race

From May 26 - 30, this premier long distance sailing race takes place, attracting competitiors from as far as New Zealand.  Watch from the Inner Harbour at Swiftsure Centre, enjoy live music, and more.  Click here for more information.

Also, the first of the Victoria Harbour Festival markets will take place all weekend at Ship Point pier - food trucks, music, beer garden, and local artists!  Click here for more information.

New Exhibits

Goose Island Beer Co. Victoria Launch Party

On May 27 at 5 pm, the brewers and educators from Goose Island Beer Co. in Chicago are hosting a launch party at Yates Street Taphouse.  Victoria beer fans will have a chance to sample a variety of distinct and rare Goose Island beers that will be available on all taps for the night, including: Endless IPA, Four Star Pils, and 312.  Click here for more information.

The Figure in Clay Sculpture Show

Join Dales Gallery on the weekend of May 27 - 29 for a celebration of scuptural achievements!  Discover the process of learning the classical art of figurative sculpture through student studies in anatomy, portraiture, and the figure.  Click here for more information.

19th Annual French Fest

On May 28 & 29, La Société francophone de Victoria is proud to present French Fest in Centennial Square.  Enjoy live music, Francophone artisans, face painting, balloon art, games, and more.  Click here for more information.

The Great Gatsby Gala

This fabulous Great Gatsby-themed event takes place May 28 at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour in support of Special Olympics Victoria.  The event includes a gourmet buffet dinner, cocktails, live music, dancing, live/silent auctions, and many more surprises.  Click here for more information.

Folk Show Sundays

Folk Show Sundays happen the last Sunday of every month at the Victoria Event Centre.  On May 29, at 6 pm, enjoy an evening of music, drinks, prizes, and good ol' fashion fun.  The lineup features: Growling Bellows, Vic Horvath, and Trifaucis.  Click here for more information.

The Victoria Magic Circle's 50th Anniversary Magic Spectacular!

Celebrating their 50th anniversary in Victoria, the Magic Circle has invited eight of the finest Wizards of the West Coast to be a part of this spectacular.  Many different styles of magic and illusion will be on display in these performances - from intimate sleight of hand to hilarious comedy magic to stunning large scale illusions.

Lunch-Time Vocal Recital

On June 1, from 12:15 - 12:45 pm, the Sequoia Women's Ensemble will perform at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.  Sequoia is a small, conductorless group of experienced vocalists who sing beautiful harmonies in a variety of styles.  Click here for more information.

Tessier's Witbier Launch

On June 2, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, Swan's Brewpub is hosting a launch event with free tasters for a new summer beer.  Tessier's Witbier is a Belgian style ale brewed with malted wheat, orange peel, coriander, and secret spice. Click here for more information.

Die Fledermaus

See Johann Strauss' supreme example of a Viennese operetta, Die Fledermaus, at the McPherson Playhouse on June 2 and 3, performed by the grade five students of St. Michael's University School (SMUS).  This is the 10th opera that SMUS has taken on with their junior school.  Click here for more information.

Best in Show - The Dog Show For Mutts

The Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort & Spa welcomes all animal lovers to this fun charity dog show on June 4 (registration 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, show at 1 pm).  Bring the entire family, including your dog, for fun, food, exhibits, and activities.  Contest categories include: best dressed, most endearing rescue dog, best trick, cutest puppy, cutest male dog, cutest female dog, and most original hair.  Click here for more information.

Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series

Improv Cabaret

The Unlimited Woman Awards

The 2016 yoUnlimited Woman Awards will be held on Monday, June 6, at the Victoria Conference Centre at 7 pm.  These awards recognize women in Victoria in a number of different categories at an evening event.  The evening also features performances in dance, spoken word, and female vocalist.  Click here for more information.

Peace Dancer Book Launch
