UNDERGRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES

Submissions Open - Canadian Undergraduate Journal for Cognitive Science

The Canadian Undergraduate Journal for Cognitive Science (CUJCS) is accepting submissions for our 2025 journal! We accept submissions from undergraduate students studying at accredited institutions around the world.

As a publication, CUJCS provides a unique reference and learning experience for students, showcases research by undergraduate students, improves the exchange of ideas between students and cognitive scientists alike, and illustrates the interdisciplinary work that is the hallmark of cognitive science. By promoting undergraduate research, CUJCS highlights emerging talent and critical thinking within the community of cognitive science. The journal promotes collaboration between students and researchers, creating opportunities for mentorship and interdisciplinary discourse. We are currently in the process of updating our website, however we encourage you to visit our previous site for additional context and information- https://cujcs.ca/

If you are interested, please submit through https://journals.lib.sfu.ca/index.php/cujcs/about/submissions
or via email by submissions@cujcs.ca by May 30th. While submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, we encourage you to submit a draft by this date, for timely consideration.

We are so excited to get the chance to work with great minds in
cognitive science!

If you have any questions or concerns at all, please feel free to
contact us at editorial@cujcs.ca. Thank you so much in advance!

Paid Study Participation

We are inviting you to participate in two studies, the Interpersonal Interaction Study and Dyadic Interaction Study!

These studies involve a very brief screening survey to determine whether you are eligible, and then a 1-hour session where you will come into the lab and answer questions about your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and potentially complete a reading and writing task. Additionally, we will ask you to have a conversation with other participants.

While there is no compensation for filling out the brief screening survey, eligible participants can earn $20 for each study!

To sign up for each study, you can take a brief screening survey by following the links below:

2. Dyadic Interaction Study: https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7Uw27JzbOKjSaPQ

These studies have been reviewed by the University of Pittsburgh’s IRB.
