As the only charity of its kind in Australia, we provide much-needed assistance by supplying heifers, bulls, and breeding materials to help graziers get back on their feet.

Our Mission At Adopt-A-Beast Is To Provide Cattle Graziers With Post-Crisis Support For The Replenishment Of Livestock

We’re excited to share the latest updates, inspiring stories, and opportunities to support Aussie graziers on their road to recovery. Your support means the world to us—together, we’re making a real difference!

Hi! I'm Nathalie, Founder and Managing Director of Adopt-A-Beast

Meet the Team

Who We Are:

Adopt-A-Beast emerged in response to the devastating floods in Julia Creek in 2019 and the prolonged QLD droughts. Witnessing the heart-wrenching loss of livestock during these crises highlighted the immense struggles faced by cattle graziers in rebuilding their herds and recovering from such disasters.

As a team, we are committed to supporting graziers through these challenges. We provide essential assistance start rebuilding their herds with heifers, bulls, and breeding materials, helping them get back on their feet and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Our team is made up of passionate individuals dedicated to making a real difference. Together, we work to offer a pathway to recovery and resilience for the farming community.

What We Do:

At Adopt-A-Beast, we provide practical, hands-on support to cattle graziers facing the tough road to recovery after a crisis. Financial aid and insurance may not always be available or can come with long delays, we step in to help graziers rebuild by supplying essential breeding stock and materials.

Our focus is not on replacing entire herds but on helping graziers restart the breeding process. By providing heifers, bulls and breeding resources, we give farmers the means to begin regenerating their livestock, restoring both their livelihoods and hope for the future.

Every grazier’s needs are different, which is why we work closely with them to tailor our support—whether that means sourcing breeding-ready cows, bulls, or other materials. By partnering with graziers at every step, we help them take those crucial first steps toward long-term recovery.

To keep helping graziers when they need it most, we rely on ongoing fundraising efforts—and here’s a fun way you can get involved!

New Online Application Form for Graziers

We’re making it easier for graziers to apply for livestock assistance with the launch of our new online application form. While graziers have always been able to apply for support, this new process streamlines applications, making it simpler, faster, and more accessible.

The online form is the first step in our Recovery Adoption Program, which helps graziers rebuild after crisis events by providing breeding cattle to kickstart herd recovery. The new system ensures applications are processed efficiently while maintaining our thorough assessment process to support those most in need.

If you’re a grazier looking for assistance, we encourage you to apply using the new form.
