Last week you were informed that Mrs Gabrielle Doyle will take on the leadership of OLG from the start of next year. Gabrielle is an OLG parishioner and lives locally. For some time she has been the Director of Teaching and Learning for the entire Catholic Education system of WA, having previously been a Catholic school principal. The OLG school community is fortunate to have such a high calibre in-coming principal and I know she will be good for our children and our school. For schools, social media connects students, parents, teachers, and the school itself. It does this by sharing recent activities that the children and teachers have been participating in. Social media can also help spread school news or certain occasions, such as parent events or sports day. This is really helping children connect with their parents more too, creating conversations between them about work that has been posted by the school. We have had a social presence on facebook for over two years and have recently added Twitter and Instagram to reach all demographics. We acknowledge the original custodians of this land, the Nyungar people, and show our respect for their ancestors and traditions. Our Lady of Grace School |
