1. US to test for ASF, Canada agrees trade contingency plans20.05.2019 US. African Swine Fever
Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced plans to implement an African Swine Fever (ASF) surveillance program. As part of this plan, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service will work with the swine industry, the states, and veterinary diagnostic laboratories to test for ASF. TuberculosisRaw pet food has been linked to an outbreak of feline tuberculosis that has infected dozens of cats and two people in the U.K. One hundred people and 90 felines have been referred for tests, researchers have told U.K. media.
