Official Venue: Due to the extraordinary circumstances presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and for the continued safety of everyone in our community, this meeting will be held virtually.
The purpose of the Annual General Meeting is to formally conclude the current financial year reporting and to elect a National Management Committee for 2020-2021.

Immediately following the AGM, AMSRO is delighted to host a presentation from leading economist Richard Gibbs: The Next Normal – life during and after COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to challenge the conventional socio-economic foundations of our communities and is unleashing powerful structural forces that will shape household and business and government behaviour. Richard Gibbs will provide a perspective on the type and magnitude of changes that are now occurring across Australian communities and regions. Richard will offer some insights into how market and social research leaders will need to adapt to this changing environment to appropriately understand the implications of behavioural changes for consumers, businesses and governments.

Richard is a leading economist, business analyst and public policy specialist with over 25 years' experience across Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
He has served as a strategic adviser and specialist consultant to multinational companies in Australia and overseas, and national & regional governments in over 18 separate jurisdictions.
Richard is highly experienced in economic and financial evaluations, business case studies, social impact assessments and corporate and organisational governance models. As a strategic adviser and economic development specialist, Richard brings to projects a wealth of practical experience, particularly in the assessment of the net economic benefits.
Prior to joining Urbis, Richard led the launch and establishment of Macquarie Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Research and Advisory Services; and for over eight years served as an external advisor to the Australian House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics.
We dearly miss seeing our valued members and friends but not enough to jeopardise anyone’s health.
Therefore, due to COVID-19 (and member feedback requesting the Forum remains as a face-to-face event), we have postponed the Forum until early 2021.
