Click here Learning From HomeThe NSW Department of Education has our students’ health and wellbeing as its first priority, and these unprecedented times are challenging for our whole community. The Premier has announced that as from Tuesday 24 March, parents are encouraged to keep their children at home. In line with the Premier's announcement, you have our full support in keeping your children at home. I encourage you to focus on supporting the wellbeing of your children and family. This is the most important thing. Don't worry about getting learning done straight away. As the situation changes in relation to this significant health crisis, we will inform you of any Department of Education updates and will continue to guide and support you. Our school is classified as an essential service and as such we will remain open to help other essential workers continue to provide services to our community. Our doors remain open and no child will be turned away. For the few students who continue to attend school, variations to normal routines will be necessary, and students will be required to exercise social distancing to ensure the safety of the entire school community. We will also continue to employ all our current strategies in relation to safety and hygiene, however the school canteen will not be operating after Wednesday 25/3/20 and students onsite will have to make alternative arrangements. The school will be providing learning materials to students to continue their learning whilst at home. Please be patient as this is arranged. We will send a message via Millennium and Facebook when this is complete. Parents can assist by making sure that your children know their Department of Education log in details and know how to check their emails. Whilst much of our learning will take place online, we are working towards developing hard copies of learning materials to cater for students who may not have access to a device or the internet. Teaching staff will be available any time during school hours if you need to contact them either via email or through the school telephone. This situation is new to all of us. We may all experience stress, tiredness and will often feel vulnerable and uncertain. Take care everyone - continue to listen to accurate advice and contact us if you need anything. I ask for your collective understanding and patience while we work with the new information provided and the quickly changing environment to make plans for what lies ahead. We anticipate these changes will be in operation until the end of Term 1, and we appreciate your support in this matter. It is vital that we all do our best to maintain the health and safety of not just the school community, but the whole community of the Camden Haven. Kind regards, Mrs M Hutchinson To keep up to date with our updates on school operation, please see our COVID-19 Advice page. Learning:
