The New Greek Club – Launching 2018

Something big is about to happen at The Greek Club. Brisbane’s much loved Greek restaurant and function venue is preparing to undergo major renovations in 2018.

Think Modern Greek minimalism, inside and out. The function rooms on the lower level of the club will be completely refurbished, offering sophisticated, modern event spaces for corporate and private functions.

Upstairs, the addition of a Grand Balcony adjoining the Ballroom will take the venue to a new level. Able to be used as a function space of its own or as an extension of the ballroom, the Grand Balcony will feature sweeping views of Musgrave Park and the Brisbane city skyline.

The Odyssey Taverna + Café + Bar will also be transformed, featuring thatched ceilings, wooden floors and all new furnishings plus the addition of a private dining room and cocktail area.

The Greek Club will be closed from January 2018 through to the end of March, and will relaunch in April.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon!

Update on Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Development

The Queen's Wharf Brisbane Plan of Development (PoD) is now ‘at public notification’ stage.

After being lodged with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) in late May 2017, Destination Brisbane Consortium’s (DBC) PoD commenced Public Notification on 6 September 2017 until 19 October 2017.

The Plan of Development is a masterplan that will steer the design of the transformational $3 billion integrated resort development. It requires all lots that sit within the Priority Development Area ‘lot’ space to feature signage about the development. South Bank forms part of this 'Priority Development Area' due to the pedestrian bridge landing.

The Plan of Development application is available to view on EDQ’s website - search DEV2017/846.

You can provide a comment to EDQ on the application until 19 October 2017 via email or post - refer to EDQ’s website for details (Click here).

Signage containing information about the ‘at public notification’ process is now on display throughout the area stretching from the Maritime Museum to Goma.

Click here to view where the signs will be located (Sheets 2 and 3 show the South Bank locations).

Further information about the development will be provided at www.queenswharfbrisbane.com.au.
