Intersectionality Discussion with Guest Speaker Sabrina Marks
Sabrina Marks will give a presentation about the importance of an intersectional lens in the nation's approach to oppression. Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in this thought-provoking discussion happening from 6 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 in BA room 212.
Community Garden Party for Faculty and Families - April 9
Enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon for faculty and their families from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 9. This event is hosted by the UCF Arboretum, College of Sciences and Center for Success of Women Faculty.
No Insurance Deductions from 3/31/17 Paycheck
There were no insurance deductions from the 3/31/17 paycheck. Insurance premiums are paid one month in advance through bi-weekly payroll deductions. April premiums were paid through deductions taken from the 3/3/17 and 3/17/17 paychecks.
Women's and Gender Studies Director M.C. Santana, Ph.D. recently visited Cuzco, Peru and is very excited to announce Peru as a new study abroad partner! This service learning project will take place during spring break 2018, and will count as a 3 credit elective course. If you know of any students who are good candidates for this program, please inform them and encourage them to contact Dr. M.C. Santana at santana@ucf.edu. Space is limited.
Test Pickup Policy Changes
The Administrative Office can no longer look through envelopes and pick up tests. Test envelopes are being kept in a locked cabinet now. If you want department staff (Debbie, Jane or Wanda) to pickup tests, you must let them know. When department staff go to Test Scoring, they provide names, and Test Scoring retrieves the test envelopes. You MUST put on the Test Scoring Request form that you authorize release to Department Staff.
Requesting Parking Passes
When requesting a parking pass:
For Class Guests
Provide the class number the guest will be attending, their name and their affiliation
For Visitors
Provide the purpose of the visit, their name, and affiliation In addition to this information, faculty should alert Debbie Doyle that they would like their guest to park behind the building, and a parking space will be assigned. If there are further questions, please see Debbie Doyle.
Guidelines for Filming on Campus
It is important that UCF faculty and staff be familiar with university guidelines, and this includes those relating to filming on campus. UCF News and Information should be informed, any time anyone films in a space on campus, including inside an office or in an outside area. This applies not just to the media, or commercial groups, but to Faculty, staff, and students in all Departments.
