Transwomen Satisfied With Sex-Reassignment Surgery
A recent survey of 47 transwomen found that patients were generally satisfied with their sex-reassignment surgery.
Ninety-one percent of the respondents said they would "most certainly" have the surgery again. The rest said they would be "very likely" to do so. Most said they would recommend the surgery to others.
The women had the male-to-female procedure, which included vaginoplasty, between 2007 and 2013. All had undergone the same surgical technique, which was designed by the study authors.
The study was published online in March in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. More details, including information on the questionnaires used, are available here.
