The Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men's Health is an initiative of the Freemasons Foundation Inc, the charitable arm of Freemasonry in South Australia and the Northern Territory, in partnership with the University of Adelaide. We acknowledge the major funding support of the Foundation and the University since 2007, and the broader support of the Freemasons community.

Dear members, colleagues, and supporters of the Centre

Please remember to donate to Movember at au.movember.com/donate. The Centre's prostate cancer research programs receive major grant funding from Movember, and Movember's initiatives are changing the face of male health here in Australia and globally.
I congratulate Kooty Canuto on being awarded his PhD last week for his thesis "Utilisation of Primary Health Care Services by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Men”.  Kootsy and other members of the Centre recently attended the combined National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Male Health Convention and National Men's Health Gathering in Parramatta.  Mental health and male suicide, fatherhood and fathering, boys and young men's health were strong areas of discussion. There was consensus of the need to strengthen the sex/gender and social determinants approach to research, policy and practice if we are to make headway in male health and well-being, particularly for the most vulnerable.
